I started Third Way Consulting because I believe smaller, values-led organisations deserve the same level of strategic support as the largest INGOs — without the jargon, high fees, or inflexibility that often come with traditional consultancy models.

Over the past 20 years, I’ve worked across the international development and humanitarian sectors — as a CEO, advisor, and programme lead. I’ve led UK-based INGOs, managed multi-million-pound funds, and supported education, health, and rights-based initiatives in more than a dozen countries. I’ve worked directly with partners like FCDO, the British Council, UNICEF, and Education Development Trust, and advised grassroots charities doing incredible work on tight budgets.

What I’ve learned is that many smaller organisations don’t need “experts” telling them what to do — they need thoughtful, experienced collaborators who listen well, work alongside them, and offer support that’s practical, grounded, and useful.
